This past Sunday our club held its Winter match racing championships. We had three local teams and a team from Eastport Yacht Club in Annapolis, who came and showed us a thing or two and won the championship. I wasn’t sailing, I was on the Race Committee boat, where it was our job to signal starts and finishes of races.

Here are some videos that another member took from shore. The videos show the prestart, when two boats pair off and use match racing rules, which in their essence are based on the rules of navigation, to try to get the edge on each other.
